Maintenance of a culture promoting the highest standards for employees’ safety and health while at the same time delivering the best quality products to clients is also a primary focus for Interconnect. Interconnect accomplishes these through prioritizing safety.
The field safety managers are tasked with working with line managers in the implementation and maintenance of the fundamentals of Interconnect safety culture. Interconnect has several safety professionals who step into dedicated job site safety roles.
Safety goes beyond simply following rules and regulations. Even if the identification of each risk possible is a good thing, there is a belief that it’s worth the time and effort, but it is the safety mindset we are in pursuit of. The engagement of employees and understanding are the real indicators of safety. The biggest mindset is at the foreman level. Interconnect has identified the value set she wants from foremen and these needs are addressed via structured multi-topic classroom situations. Safety is an integral part of every class. Through these classes, our foremen recognize that effective planning is essential to any endeavor.
